The NEBOSH HSE Award in Managing Risks and Risk Assessment at Work, is an introductory level qualification that looks at health and safety risk management at work and the process to be adopted for controlling health and safety risks caused by workplace hazards. This qualification has been designed to assist staff or volunteers involved in managing workplace risks and who undertake risk assessments, to confidently identify sensible and proportionate precautions to control the risks in the workplace.
This is a 1-day course which is assessed by a simple practical assessment, where you will be provided with shown a video before completing a risk assessment case study to identify a range of hazards. The course is open to everyone – no previous knowledge is required. The course will teach you the human and organisational factors that can contribute to an incident, the process for investigating incidents and the positive strategies to completing a successful post incident report.
